Certify yourself according to the British project management methodology PRINCE2®, which is used worldwide
PRINCE2® is a widely used, process-oriented project management method. It forms a structured framework around the respective project and provides the project team with specific recommendations for action for each project phase. PRINCE2® stands for “Projects in Controlled Environments” and is a process model that describes in detail the activities required throughout a project. The Office of Government Commerce (OGC), an agency of the British government, is behind the method.
PRINCE2® Foundation is the entry-level certificate for two-stage PRINCE2® training. It is suited to anyone who wants to certify their knowledge of the principles and terminology of PRINCE2®.
PRINCE2® Practitioner is the second training stage. Building on PRINCE2® Foundation, it demonstrates how to apply the model to a real project and implement it successfully.
We have decided to stop offering PRINCE2 preparation seminars. The method is too regimented and limited in its possibilities and does not go beyond the project management basics in terms of content. It also lacks agile elements that are indispensable in projects today.
We therefore recommend that our customers and participants take the Project Management Basics seminar instead. The range of methods taught there is suitable for all project types – whether classic, agile or hybrid – and also provides the basis for the “major” PMI or GPM/IPMA certifications.
