Scrum Product Owner Training

Commissioning agile projects, clarifying requirements and setting priorities.

The Product Owner plays an important role in agile projects, not only in Scrum projects. The product owner is responsible for the benefits of the projects. He describes the requirements for the project and defines the priorities. However, there are significant differences to the classic role of the client so that agile projects can really develop their full impact. Be part of it!

SEMINAR GOALS

In this seminar, you’ll learn through numerous hands-on exercises how the role of the Scrum Product Owner is defined and what tasks and responsibilities they have in an agile environment. You will learn how to clearly define your wishes and requirements as a client in a simple way while setting priorities. You will discover how to effectively coordinate with other members of the Scrum team, as well as with customers and other stakeholders. You will know how to accept deliverables and provide feedback to the team for continuous improvement. This will help you achieve the highest return on investment, customer satisfaction, and value creation in your projects.

YOUR BENEFIT

You’ll learn all the elements of Scrum from the perspective of the Product Owner. We’ll alternate between theory and hands-on exercises, and connect your questions with our practical experience. You’ll practice defining your requirements so that, in the end, you can get the results you want from the development team in the shortest possible time. We’ll demonstrate and discuss with you how to implement these elements in a wide variety of project types, so your projects can benefit as well.
After the seminar, you can take the Scrum Product Owner certification exam. Participants receive 16 PDUs or a certificate of continuing education for IPMA.

It is also ideal for anyone who represents stakeholder interests and wants to prioritize customer value.

  • What will I learn in the Scrum Product Owner Certification seminar?

  • What is the difference between a Scrum Master and a Scrum Product Owner?

The Scrum Master ensures a smooth Scrum process, facilitates meetings, protects the team, and addresses process obstacles.
The Scrum Product Owner is responsible for the content: they prioritize requirements, maintain contact with stakeholders, and define what is to be developed in the next sprint. Both roles are equal—but with completely different focuses.

  • How does the Scrum Product Owner certification differ from PMP® or CAPM®?

The Scrum Product Owner certification is an agile role with a strong focus on customer value, business objectives, and product ownership.
PMP® and CAPM® are classic PMI certifications that cover the full spectrum of project management—from planning and risk management to stakeholder communication.
If you want to take on responsibility specifically in agile environments, the Product Owner role is the perfect fit for you.
