  • Will the PMP® exam change in 2026?

    Yes, PMI is introducing an updated PMP® exam on July 9, 2026. The new exam places an even stronger focus on real-life project situations, value delivery, modern leadership tasks, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, artificial intelligence and classic, agile and hybrid project approaches. Our PMP® training prepares you specifically for these new requirements.

  • Does the seminar already prepare me for the new PMP® exam 2026?

    Yes, our PMP® training courses are aligned with the updated PMI requirements. You will work with up-to-date content, official PMI® materials and exam-related questions. It’s not just about theory, but above all about applying project management knowledge to realistic exam situations.

  • Is the PMBOK® Guide V8 the basis of the PMP® exam?

    Yes, the PMBOK® Guide is an important knowledge base. However, the PMP® exam not only tests content from the Guide, but above all the application of project management knowledge in realistic project situations.

  • What role does the PMBOK® Guide - Eighth Edition play for the PMP® exam?

    The PMBOK® Guide – Eighth Edition is an important knowledge base for modern project management. It describes project management more in terms of value contribution, adaptability, responsibility and practical application. For the PMP® exam, however, it is not enough to memorize the PMBOK® Guide. It is crucial that you can apply the concepts in specific project situations.

  • What's new about the PMP® exam from July 2026?

    The new exam remains practice-oriented, but shifts the focus. PMI places greater emphasis on business value, outcomes, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, artificial intelligence and adaptive project dynamics. In addition, traditional, agile and hybrid approaches will continue to be considered together.

  • Will the PMP® exam become more difficult with PMBOK® Guide V8?

    Not necessarily more difficult – but more modern and more oriented towards the reality of today’s projects. It is less about pure factual knowledge and more about the question: How do you make decisions as a project manager in a specific situation? This is exactly what we prepare you for in the seminar.

  • Does artificial intelligence play a role in the new PMP® exam?

    Yes, PMI mentions artificial intelligence as one of the topics that will be given greater consideration in the updated PMP® exam. It is not about technically mastering AI tools, but about understanding how project managers can responsibly and sensibly classify and use AI in the project environment.

  • Can I also take the exam in German?

    Yes, you can now also take the exam in German. There are also seminar documents in German to help you prepare.

  • How good does my English need to be to take the English PMP® exam?

    You should be able to read and understand technical texts in English. You should also be able to understand colloquial and business situations. However, you can also take the exam in German.

  • Is there an advantage to taking the exam in German or English?

    The linguistic quality of the German and English exams is now identical. So there is neither an advantage nor a disadvantage in the choice of language. Choose the language in which you can understand the questions and answers most quickly.

  • What do I get from the All-inclusive package?

    You have significantly less administrative work. We take care of the processing with PMI and the billing of the examination fee to your company is already included in the seminar fee. You will also receive access to the online test tool for your preparation. In addition, you become a member of PMI worldwide and PMI in Germany and can download all PMI standard works, such as the PMBOK Guide, digitally in many languages.

  • Are the costs for membership, examination and documents included in the course costs?

    The seminar fee includes the costs for documents. The fees for PMI membership and the PMP exam at PMI are not included. These services are part of our “All-inclusive package“, which you can book as an option.

  • Do I receive a voucher to trigger the test myself afterwards?

    All-inclusive package: You do not receive a voucher. PS Consulting takes care of your registration with PMI, the application for your exam admission and the payment process with PMI. Once you have paid the exam fee, you book your exam date online with PearsonVue. Here you specify the exam format (online or face-to-face) and the exam language.

    Without All-inclusive package: If you book without the All-inclusive package, you take care of the registration with PMI, the application for admission to the exam and the payment processes with PMI yourself.

  • Does the PMP exam have to be taken at the end of the course?

    No, the exam does not take place at the end of the course. You decide and book the exam date yourself to suit your personal learning schedule.

  • What happens if I don't pass the exam?

    You have the opportunity to take the exam up to three times within a year. There is a small fee for each additional exam. However, our experience shows that the failure rate is extremely low – most of our participants pass the exam at the first attempt. If you still fail the exam on your first attempt, you will usually be successful at the second attempt.

    In the unlikely event that the second attempt does not work out, we offer you targeted support. You can either take advantage of free individual coaching, where we work together on the crucial points, or you can take part in the 2nd module of the next PMP seminar free of charge. This will give you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge and work towards the next exam.

    With this support, we want to ensure that you have the best conditions to successfully complete your certification. Your success is important to us!

  • What are the benefits of the PMP online test tool?

    You can practise questions at any time and get to know your level of knowledge so that you can go to the exam with a good feeling.

  • What is the difference between PMP and CAPM?

    The PMP® is aimed at experienced project managers who have already managed or been responsible for projects. You must provide evidence of relevant practical experience for admission. The CAPM® is more suitable for beginners or people who want to demonstrate project management basics in a structured way. In short: CAPM® is the entry into the PMI® world, PMP® is the international proof of experience for professional project management.

  • What are the requirements for the PMP? Can anyone do the PMP?

    The requirements depend on your educational background. Depending on your previous education, PMI requires several years of experience in managing and controlling projects as well as 35 hours of project management training. If you are unsure, we will check with you whether your experience is sufficient for admission.

  • What is the difference between PMP and Scrum?

    Scrum is an agile framework for the implementation of agile projects. PMP is suitable for any type of project, whether classic, agile or hybrid, and is therefore more comprehensive.

  • How long is the PMP certificate valid for?

    The PMP certificate is valid for three years. During this time, you must collect Professional Development Units (PDU) in order to renew it.

  • How do I prove my practical experience for admission to the PMP?

    Compile a list of the projects you have managed. With our All-inclusive package, we support you with your submission to PMI.

  • I'm not sure whether my practical experience is enough to get the license. What can I do?
