GPM-IPMA Certificates

Obtain certification in accordance with the accredited standards of the GPM/IPMA

With more than 55,000 members in 50 countries, the International Project Management Association (IPMA) originates from the European Project Management Association. The German representative is the German Association for Project Management (GPM), which has in excess of 5700 members. Its certification body PM-ZERT issues GPM-accredited project management certificates. These include the following certificates based on complementary levels or expertise:

Level D: Certified Poject Management Associate

Level D is the most common certification — both nationally and internationally — of the 4-level IPMA certification system. It is an entry-level certificate directed at junior project managers, prospective project managers, project staff and others. It allows people with relatively little project management experience to achieve a qualified verification of their project management knowledge. More than 136,000 Level D certificates have been issued worldwide.

Level C: Certified Project Manager

Level C certification is suitable for project managers with several years’ experience in non-complex projects who have a sound knowledge of project management methods in both theory and practice. A total of more than 49,000 Level C certificates have been issued.

Level B: Certified Senior Project Manager

Level B certification is aimed at project managers with several years’ experience in complex projects. Globally around 13,000 Level B certificates have been issued, including 600 in Germany.

Level A: Certified Projects Director

Level A certificates are rare. Only around 355 have been issued worldwide.

PS Consulting will help you to acquire Level B, C and D certificates.

We offer preparation seminars for these levels. The seminars are modular in structure. We have observed hundreds of participants who have processed the material more easily with a modular program. This means more efficient learning and a lower overall investment.

The process of awarding certificates is the responsibility of the official GPM certification body, which holds open rounds of certification. These take place on a regular basis throughout the year.

If you’d like certification and want to prepare effectively, why not attend one of our preparation seminars? In-house seminars are more in tune with your previous experience and training — and preparation seminars can be adapted accordingly. Seminars are available from as few as 5-6 participants.

Please note the GPM/IPMA candidate requirements. You can find more details on the Examination pages.
