Situational Project Management

Strengthen you leadership, team, conflict and negotiation skills

PM Master Level

Are you satisfied with the progress of your project? Many project managers are not. The reason is: They know the basic project management methods and tools, but at the same time they feel that these are far from sufficient for the success of a project. The question is: What might be the reason for that? Which skills should you be working on - besides the methodic side?

Seminar Objectives

Methods and techniques are the basis for successful project work. As a project manager in today’s complex business environment, you have to deal with diverse situations and various people who do not stick to your plans. Then your abilities to handle the „soft“ factors in your project are crucial for your success. These are exactly the issues our modular course series deals with. It was designed to strengthen and foster your leadership, team-, conflict and negotiation skills. This way, you will increase your abilities and expand your leeways to act professionally in difficult situations.
You don’t have to acquire new methods for that. You will learn to tackle problems where they have originated: in 80% of all cases it’s not about technical or financial aspects, but

  • within the project team itself
  • with sponsors and management
  • with customers and users.

Your Benefit

Valid for all our contents: Just little theory, but a lot of practice contributed by your own project. We always work with real-life practical examples, no case studies. So, participants learn and deepen their experiences by means of existing problems. This approach enables an immediate transfer to every day work life.
This seminar series consists of three 2-day modules with "stages of practice" between the different modules. Each module has a main topical focus plus feedback units. This approach means that you go back "into the project" where you can test the things you have learnt. During the next module you can discuss and improve your solution approach by help of the consultant and all participants. This continuity enables a maximum learning success.
Another advantage of a course in several modules: During the course the group grows together and builds up a Project Manager Network, in which colleagues assist each other, even after the end of the course.
