CAPM® Exam

The certificate of a well-founded knowledge of project management

In order to use the title of „Certified Associate in Project Management“ CAPM®, each candidate has to evidence of two elements of professional competence and to agree to a code of behavior.


1. Experiences of Project Management

Each candidate has to have some know-how in project management . This can be evidenced by practial experiences or by theoretic training.


Option 1: Practial Experiences
                  You have passed school with qualifying for university entrance or a completed apprenticeship.
                  You are able to evidence 1500 hours of expeience in project teams .

Option 2: Theoretic Training
                 You have passed school with qualifiying for university entrance or a completed apprenticeship .
                 You are able to evidence at least 23 hours project managment training in accordance to the PMI-Standards
                 entsprechend der Standards von PMI® nachweisen.
                 The proof can happen by our CAPM® Preparation Course. You can also choose any other of your
                 project management seminars.


2. Well-founded know-how of project management
This is confirmed by a very difficult test by PMI® . Here the candidates must answer 150 questions concerning all themes of the project management within 3 hours. The examination is organized centrally by PMI® and can be taken at one of the Prometric Testing Centers.


3. Ethic-correct behavior
It is expected by a CAPM® that he or she conducts one self ethic-correct at any time. For this purpose the PMI® has fixed a code of behavior. This concerns many different topics which are the behavior at conflicts of interstes. The knowledge of these standards are checked by tests. An offence against the rules can result the loss of the CAPM ® status..

 

4. Fees of examination
The fee is 250,- Euro for non-members 185,- Euro for members of PMI®. The annual PMI®-member fee is about 85,- Euro.
